Aha

The light bulb has definitely gone off for me about a situation I’ve been facing. Sometimes, due to unfortunate situations, life doesn’t always work out how you think or plan it would. This alone can be somewhat disconcerting and a little frustrating. It may be unplanned, unthought-of, and maybe even unheard of. However, inconveniencing the detour may be, it serves a purpose.

Maybe the delay, or detour, was to steer you around an accident, road construction, or just to give you another route (different perspective/outlook) on where you’re headed. Once this hit my spirit, I immediately repented for being bratty and not taking into consideration that God still has a plan for my life…that factored in detours.

Then, I began to thank God and pray that He shows me the purpose and plan in the detour. I thanked Him for the grace to go through, and the favor to finish. I no longer choose to view it as a roadblock, but as a scenic route on the road to destiny. #changedperspective

 Prayer: God, thank you for every detour/delay that my life has taken. Help me to trust Your plan in these moments. I’m confident in knowing that Your plans for me are good, & are far better than what I could’ve even imagined for myself. Thank You for navigating me through every area of my life…even the scenic route! Even in this, You’re still sovereign!
